“The Twenty Minute Creativity Project” is a weekly challenge designed to spur creative approaches to every day obstacles.
Week Nine Challenge: Create a piece of work in twenty minutes in which every ten words a particular word must be used. This word may be assigned or chosen at random. I am using an online random word generator for my prompt.
Random Word: Anthology
“I have finished compiling a most diverse and interesting anthology,” the professor commented to his companion over tea.
“An anthology, you say?” She replied stuffing a crumpet into her mouth.
“Anthology. A compendium of musical history. A bulwark against any anthology to be written hereafter,” he beamed with pride.
“Musical anthology, you say. Did you write it yourself?”
“It’s an anthology. I couldn’t have written it all myself. It’s an anthology! I wrote only the introduction and epilogue of course. Anthology of Musical Genius I call it,” he strongly emphasized ‘anthology’. She chewed loudly, and he muttered vulgarities about his anthology. He began to doubt her interest in his great anthology.
“Is it entertaining?”
“Is it funny, your great anthology?” She sipped the tea.
“I suppose, at spots.”
“An anthology,” she spoke contemplatively. “Perhaps I should write one, an anthology. All on my own though. I will write my anthology all on my own though. It will top your anthology then!”
He tugged irately at his grey beard. “No anthology is written by one.”
“Are you jealous of my anthology?”
