As we come to the close of the first week of our cold e-mailing challenge, I thought we could take a moment to pause and look at where we stand. Out of thirty-five cold e-mails sent out, we have received two responses.
I’m thrilled with two responses, but readily admit that it isn’t any where near the amount we would like to see. A five percent response rate leaves me with two questions: What can we do differently to generate more responses, negative or positive? And how can we turn those responses, whether five percent or twenty-five percent into more positive responses? Of course, any feedback is welcome.
It isn’t too late for more of those thirty-five e-mail recipients to reply. And it isn’t too late for us to tweak our approaches. I look forward to seeing what the next week brings.
