Early in this campaign, I failed to include an essential ingredient in my cold emails: a question. Even though I included lots of information that I thought would be helpful to potential clients, I didn’t call for a response so I didn’t receive any feedback. Since then, I’ve learned my lesson. I always include a question, even if it is as simple as, “Can you help me with this?” Adding a call for action on the part of the recipient has definitely increased the response level. Be sure to include this small but vital ingredient in your cold e-mailing endeavors.
